What a huge celebration after the World Baseball Classic Championship game! The Dominican Republic defeated Puerto Rico to earn the title: "World Champions of Baseball." Throughout the playoffs, every Dominican game was shown in just about every restaurant and public place with a TV around the country. The best way to express the mindset in the DR is to say, "Baseball is our game." More than just national pride was on the line. After the final pitch on that fateful Tuesday night, at approximately 11:30 PM (on a school/work night), the streets erupted. Horns blared, people cheered, sirens went off and any other item that could be used for noise was used. This lasted for at least 20 minutes, maybe 30. D.R. Baseball Update- Player Led To Christ!

As mentioned in last month's newsletter, we are continuing to move forward in building the baseball field on our 46-acre property. We have prepared the entrance and graded out the main roads into our land. This is all preliminary work to the asphalt being laid, but it is a huge step forward for us.
