Torrey Collins
DISCIPLESHIP COORDINATOR

Torrey Collins lives in Phoenix, AZ with his wife Brittany and their four children. Torrey was baptized as a follower of Jesus in 2014.  As a single dad of two young daughters, Torrey’s walk began simply with attending church sporadically with his girls, but he quickly felt the call to more.  After meeting his wife Brittany in 2017, they soon found a new church together and began serving in various ministries and leading small groups, but Torrey still felt the Lord calling him to more.  He was hired onto their church’s staff in November 2020 to serve on their maintenance team, which quickly lead to him leading that team, searching for more ways to serve in ministry, and leading the church’s men’s ministry.  Through attending a retreat in March 2022, Torrey was introduced to the concept of one-on-one discipleship.  This introduction to his dear friend Randy drastically changed Torrey’s walk with the Lord.  Since then, Torrey has dived deep into discipleship.  He was discipled for more than a year by Randy, and has now discipled multiple men himself.  Torrey has also been blessed to travel all over the world on missions and lead’s a men’s discipleship weekly Bible study.  He continues to feel called to spend more of his time serving the Lord, and is excited to transition away from his secular job into full-time ministry.  This calling and the relationships God continues to bring into his life lead him to Daystar, where he is excited to serve as Discipleship Coordinator.  His passion lies in helping men prioritize God in their marriages, parenting, and relationships.  Through this work, he aims to emphasize the significance of one-on-one discipleship and its life-changing impact.

Kimberly Osborne
FINANCIAL SECRETARY

I began working for DayStar in 2021. I am currently stepping into the role of Financial Secretary, as Ruth Hale retires. I was recommended for the job by a friend that is also a former board member that I have also worked with in the past. This opportunity was an answered prayer. I had been praying for God to guide me where I was needed and I truly believe DayStar was His answer.

As a Christian, I am grateful for the opportunity to work within the ministry while utilizing my skill set in accounting. In the short time I have been with DayStar, I have connected with the missionaries and have come to realize the importance of having a “go to” home base within the States. I am excited to be a part of the DayStar team!

Melissa Wimberly
PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER
I joined the staff of Daystar in October of 2018 with the goal of increasing awareness to Daystar and missions by using the talents that God has blessed me with in relation to media related resources. I enjoy working with graphics, publications, websites, social media, and interacting with our missionaries with the goal of bringing global awareness to the ministries that God has given them. Having grown up in church and being taught the importance of missions, the Lord has called me to work at seeing His Kingdom grow and increase. I believe that God has given us all the same mission and that is to impact the World for Christ by sharing His love with others. I am so thankful to be able to partner with Daystar to fulfill this mission. In 2015 I had the opportunity to go to San Pedro, Dominican Republic and was able to see the ministry for the first time there, I have also had the opportunity to be a part of many other short term missions trips and I continue to pray that the Lord of the Harvest will continue to send forth laborers. I am blessed to be one of His.
