David & Marianella were born and raised in the country of Uruguay. David grew up in a home where his mom was a Christian, and he met Jesus as a young boy.  Marianella grew up in a catholic home and became a Christian at the age of 21.  They got married and served in their local church in Uruguay.  From 2005-2007 they attended Word of Life Bible Institute in Argentina.  During their time at WOL, God called them into missions and guided their path to the country of Panama. After serving in Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, in 2010 they arrived to Panama were the Lord called them to stay. They have two sons. Daniel was born in 2010, and Ezequiel in 2014. They both are great additions to the ministry and a great help.

For the last 16 years they have been serving through sports, evangelism, and discipleship.  Since 2022 they have run a sports program where they use basketball as a way to reach kids and teenagers with the Gospel.  David also coaches soccer at a local Christian school. They also work with their local church and do ministry with the homeless population in Panama.  They have been hosting missions teams throughout their time in Panama.  The teams do things like kids’ programs, VBS events, sports games and clinics, medical outreaches, church camps, and many other events to help them reach the Panamanians for the Kingdom.  Their prayer is to be the face of Jesus and for the future generations to find a hope and a future in their Savior!  They are thrilled to join Daystar and bring new opportunities for service and partnership.
