We are Lorena and José Montejo. From our youth, in different places and circumstances, the Lord reached our hearts. Lorena grew up in a Christian home, where from an early age she served as a children’s teacher in her local church. José came to Christ at the age of 20 and later began his biblical studies in North Carolina. Jose was ordained in 2002 and actively served in evangelism and discipleship in his local church.
From the day we united our lives in marriage, we understood that God had brought us together with the purpose of serving Him. In 2015, we were sent as missionaries to the Dominican Republic. There we had the blessing of sharing the Gospel, supporting families, forming disciples, and planting two churches. It was a transformative experience that deeply shaped our faith and our vision of the Kingdom of God.
In February 2021, the Lord guided us to continue His work in the state of Yucatán, México. Since then, we have strengthened our missionary work by providing Biblical counseling, spiritual support, and leadership training in various churches across different communities. We share the Gospel with families, listen to their struggles, walk alongside them, pray with them, and guide them through the Word of God. We are actively planting churches in various towns in the Yucatan region. Our greatest desire is that people come to know the love of Jesus and His plan of life and salvation.
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Mark 16:15
