LA VEGA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Daystar has a team of 3 missionary families serving in La Vega. La Vega, a town of about 200,000 people, is the 4th largest city in the Dominican. Your group can assist the Daystar missionaries in their church-planting and discipleship efforts. They have a Spanish speaking church for Dominicans and also a church for Haitians that speak French Creole. In addition to the church work, they are doing outreach in local schools and neighborhoods. Your group can provide encouragement and help to enhance the work that is already happening there.
Ministry Opportunities include:
- VBS programs and children’s ministry
- Evangelism-prayer walking and sharing the Gospel
- Light construction projects- painting, building projects, etc.
- Sports Ministry- games and/or clinics
- Local Church Ministry- special events or programs
- Haitian church plant ministry
- Local school ministry- Bible studies, special events, games, Evangelism
Free-Time Opportunities include:
- Sightseeing & Souvenir shopping
- Whitewater Rafting- full day adventure in Jarabacoa
- 27 Waterfalls- full day adventure of hiking and jumping in waterfalls
Travel: Groups would fly into Santiago (STI) airport. Groups can fly in to Santo Domingo (SDQ) if necessary- just further travel
