The plan we offer through Daystar is a 403(b)

Travel Insurance for Mission Teams:
 
Daystar purchases travel insurance for all of our international mission trips
 
 
We buy the Basic Plan from Faith Ventures (which is backed my Brotherhood Mutual).

If you are leading a team, and someone needs medical assistance, here is what you do:

  1. Take them to any hospital or private clinic for care
  2. The trip participant will pay up front – make sure they use their own credit card or use the card of an adult leader from the team.
  3. Make sure you help them get all receipts and paperwork before you leave.
  4. The trip participant will file a claim for reimbursement once they get home.Daystar office can help with this process if they require assistance.
  5. If the medical emergency requires the person to travel back to the US for care, call the Faith Ventures number BEFORE you make any arrangements.

Major Medical Insurance for Missionaries:
 
Faith Ventures also offers major medical insurance for long-term workers.In order to be eligible for this annual plan coverage, you must be outside your country of residence.For example, a US citizen that lives and serves in the Dominican Republic would be eligible.A national who is from the DR and serving in the DR would not be eligible.
 
 

This is an annual plan that you would need to renew each year.The typical rate for one person for an annual plan is around $580 US.You can see specific coverage details by clicking the link above.For more information, you can also contact the Daystar office staff.
