Stacy Wiseman

Stacy is a missionary in the Dominican Republic serving in multiple areas under the DR Vision ministry through Daystar Baptist Missions and Long Hollow Church. She came to the DR for the first time in August of 2022 on a short-term mission trip and fell in love with the ministries there. She returned for a second trip a few months later and was asked to pray about taking a position at a bilingual school within the ministry. Only a month later, in December of 2022, she placed her belongings in a storage unit, hugged her friends, family and especially her grandbabies, as she followed God’s leading and moved to the island to serve as a first-grade teacher at Las Palmas Christian School. In the Fall of 2024 Stacy will continue sharing the love of Jesus with students – however, she will prayerfully transition to teaching 7th and 8th grade math and science.

Outside of lesson planning and teaching, Stacy attends the local church in San Pedro de Macoris. IBEM (Iglesia Bautista Evangelica de Macoris) is one of three churches under the umbrella of DR Vision. She also enjoys being the hands and feet of Jesus as she spends time with the women of Mercy, Life House and Paloma, praying and serving women and children rescued from abuse and/or prostitution and trafficking. In the spring of 2024, she was also asked to help mentor and disciple a running group for young girls and she looks forward to serving with them again.

DR Vision has 46 beautiful acres that will prayerfully house many of the ministries in the future. The current project is a hosting villa where TEAMS will be able to stay, fellowship and relax when visiting and serving in the various ministries of DR. When time allows, Stacy enjoys serving and helping with teams. She feels blessed to have a front row seat seeing God do great things throughout this ministry.
